Our Vet Clinics
Serving the communities of Darling, Atlantis & surrounds
We opened our doors in Darling on the 27th April 2011 and in Atlantis on the 1st October 2016, with the goal of having a modern, well-equipped clinic that offered an array of services to the pets of Darling, Atlantis and surrounds. We provide a professional and compassionate service to each and every animal, and their owner, offering big city veterinary services and diagnostics with small village heart.
The clinic in Darling was built to South African Veterinary Council specifications and services on offer include a full surgical theatre with gas anaesthetic, X-ray facilities, in house biochemistry, haematology and other diagnostic lab tests, an isolation ward, kennels for hospitalisation of in-patients and an outdoor grass area for fresh air and exercise. Additionally we stock a comprehensive range of premium pet foods as well as tick and flea control remedies, deworming products and a selection of pet accessories with which to spoil your pet. A grooming parlour completes our services available. The Atlantis clinic is currently only a consulting room, kennels for patients going to Darling for procedures/surgeries and a vet shop but there are plans to expand.
The front of clinic in Darling is managed by Ches and Luigi, who not only manage bookings and sales but also provide free advice on nutrition, deworming, flea control and a host of other pet related topics. The front of clinic in Atlantis is managed by Bianca, Carinne and Kelly, who are a great source of info on all the best things for your pets.
The Atlantis CVC is the community clinic branch of The Village Vet. We offer vaccinations and basic veterinary treatments including mass sterilisations, client education programmes and vaccination clinics in conjunction with a number of welfare organisations within the Atlantis, Mamre and Pella area. We also offer reduced rate sterilisations to other residents in the area which are done at the main clinic in Darling.
The area that we work in has not ever had access to comprehensive veterinary services, so the demand is high. We often see 30 or more dogs and cats in a 2 hour consult session!! In the time that we’ve been working in Atlantis we’ve certainly seen a change in attitude towards animal welfare and the community is embracing the idea of vaccinations and sterilisations.
